SPRINGPAD (http://springpadit.com)
Springpadit.com is a free productivity app - essential for anyone who does not have a photographic memory, as it lets you make quick notes in the form of lists, text, photos, web clippings, or even by scanning a barcode.
You can organise and sort your notes really simply, and the location aware aspect even lets you find and make a note of local points of interest you want to remember.
There is an events diary, task list and well thought out directory. I especially like the barcode scanner, and now cannot resist making a note of everything I pick up in the supermarket.
As well as storing notes the website pulls data from other available sources, helping you to add context to your notes and act on them more easily.
BEGRAND (http://begrand.net/)
Begrand.net is a community website aimed at grandparents, which is stuffed full of great articles and online guides.
And it is not just about technology. You will also find features about food, money, relationships and safety, together with plenty of articles about how to be a better grandparent and deal with some of the intricacies of family life.
Like any community based website, it is the groups and discussion sections that are at the heart of this site.
Despite only being launched in February there is already a thriving group of grandparents supporting each other on these pages.
BBC COMEDY (www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/)
Bbc.co.uk/comedy is an impressive library of clips, guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. There are snippets from popular shows, stand-up routines and sketches, sitcoms, spoofs and satire - some of which are exclusive to the website.
The reality style clips are among my favourites, but there is loads of animations and plenty of classic clips from older shows too if you are a bit of a purist.
Another good place to browse is the collections section - where some comic geniuses have put together their own collections of recommended clips.
If you find something that makes you chuckle, you can jazz up your own website or blog by using the embed code provided for each clip.
